Investment pitches are so critical to make the first impression for investors not only on startup’s product and service, but also a strong indicators on whether the startup team itself is
(1) ready for investment
(3) knowledgeable about the exact problem and scenario trying to solve
(4) A+ team
So be sure to
(1) Be ready and be precise. (e.g. (A) ready means be ready for all types of questions, and make sure if you can have common questions and answers prepared at end or after your investment pitch deck slide/ppt. (B) precise means that you are very clear in describing/answers/explaining.
(2) it’s okay to say “I don’t know” instead of trying to make up things
(3) ability to use less words and more pictures/evidence/numbers to demonstrate that (a) there is actually a problem worthed solving (b) there is hard evidence through validation of your business models. a good evidence are # of users and amount of revenue or prepaid service/product
